Reopening Statement during COVID-19 Pandemic

The policies and protocols described in this document are in addition to the State of Massachusetts Requirements to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. The policies will help maintain a healthy and safe environment for our guests and employees and to reduce the spread of the COVID-19. We are also, as always, following Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) specific to our Industry.

Quick Guide of our COVID-19 Response:

·        Following industry requirements set forth by the State of MA.

·        Properly fitted masks or face coverings are always required by all clients and staff.

·        At the time of your appointment please wait outside, or in your car until called in by staff. But let us know you have arrived.

·        Before you enter the Salon, your temperature will be checked.

·        A disclosure statement is recommended which asks if (1) you are feeling sick within the past 2 weeks or (2) around anyone who has been feeling sick within the past 2 weeks and (3) if you’ve traveled outside Massachusetts within the past 2 weeks. Unless you have had a negative COVID-19 test, we will need to reschedule your appointment. This will also help with contact tracing in the event of an outbreak.

·        By Appointment Only, no walk-ins or on-line bookings.

·        You will be asked to wash your hands upon entering.

·        Each stylist will work on only one client at a time.

·        We are lucky to have so many doors and windows in the salon. Windows and doors are always open to ensure fresh air flow which experts say can help reduce the spread.

·        Most of the time the stylist and client are alone in a room with open windows. In the rare event where another stylist is working in that room, clients are 6’ apart or there is a partition.

·        We are constantly cleaning all surfaces, all day, using EPA-approved disinfectants for use against SARS-Cov2. Bathrooms are disinfected after each use.

·        We are using MERV-13 air filters. This filter is the most effective way to trap the SARS-Cov2.

·        We request you do not shake hands or hug. Also, please try to minimize conversations so as to not shed as much virus into the air.

·        We are checking State and Local health department notices about transmission in the area frequently and adjust operations accordingly.
